LESZEK WYCZOLKOWSKI | |
Leszek Wyczolkowski ws born into a family of artists in Zielonka near Warsaw, Poland in 1950. His great-grand uncle, Leon Wyczolkowski (1852-1936) was a noted Polish painter and graphic artist, associated with Young Poland(Mloda Polska)- and important artistic movement at the turn of the 19th-20th century. Leszek Wyczolkowski received his first artistic training at an early age from his father. His formal education was obtained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland in 1977. After immigrating to Canada in 1978 Wyczolkowski continued his education at the Ontario College of Art, graduating with honours. In 2005 and again in 2007, Leszek attended a self-directed residency at the Banff Centre, in Banff, Alberta. He has exhibited in Austria, Canada, France, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and the United States. Wyczolkowski's work appear in collections internationally in museums, as well as corporate, public and private collections |
