Ciara Jayne Hossack was born in Calgary, Alberta. Relocating to Fort McMurray, Hossack was an active member of the Fort McMurray Ceramic Guild and taught ceramic courses. After moving to Banff, Alberta in 2002, Hossack developed her ceramic skills by taking courses at the Banff Centre. In 2008 Hossack graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) in Calgary, Alberta, receiving her B.F.A with a major in glass. While at ACAD, Ciara participated in an exchange program to study at Sydney College of Art in Sydney, Australia. Ciara has just completed a Visual Arts Self Directed Residency at the Banff Centre, and is continuing to create glasswork through the Canmore Hot Shop in Canmore, Alberta. Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, Australia and the United States. He first important acquisition was to the Sir Elton John Collection.
